"Salsa-Son-Timba" is Upstate New York's premier 12-piece Latin
"Timba" orchestra. The term "Timba" describes the popular dance music in
Cuba, today, which combines contemporary Salsa rhythms with Jazz, Funk, Soul,
Blues and Cuban Rumba. We call this incredible fusion of music "Salsa
times 10" and it is, by far, the HOTTEST Latin music to dance to in the world!!!
Piano impresario, Tom Witkowski, directs and arranges for this collection of
Syracuse's top musicians fronted by 3 vocalists hailing from Puerto Rico and the USA".
Salsa-Son-Timba has been featured artist at the New York State Fair, the N.E.
Jazz and Wine Fest, the Syracuse Latin Festival, the Syracuse International Film
Festival, the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Festival, the Westcott Cultural
Festival, Morrisville College, Onondaga Community College, Wells College, Skaneateles High
School, Lowville High School and more.
The orchestra also tours Upstate NY playing at Latino and non-Latino festivals,
dances, events,
parties, weddings, schools, and universities.
